Associazione Minerva Explores European Memory in Lecce

In Lecce, Associazione Minerva held a powerful youth worker training called “From Memory to Action.” The project focused on European history after World War II and how remembering dictatorships can help young people stand up for peace, tolerance, and human dignity.

Participants used storytelling, case studies, and creative group work to understand how politics and culture were controlled in the past. They then discussed how these themes are still present today and how youth workers can help prevent the spread of extremism or hate.

By the end of the program, everyone felt more confident to promote democratic values and open-minded thinking in their communities.
