In Debrecen, Creative Youth Academy Hungary organized the training “History Matters: Learning from the Past,” where youth workers explored the impact of dictatorships in Europe and how those times can teach us lessons today.
The program helped participants learn more about authoritarianism, propaganda, and the daily lives of people living without freedom. There were also sessions on modern challenges, like political polarization and youth radicalization, and how to deal with them using education and democratic dialogue.
This inspiring week helped participants better support young people in recognizing the importance of tolerance, critical thinking, and peace in Europe.
