In Berlin, Copernicus Berlin hosted a workshop focusing on the shared challenges between island communities and European cities, especially in facing climate change and economic inequality.

Islands in the City Participants explored ways urban youth can stand in solidarity with island-based communities by promoting local climate action, sustainable consumption, and global partnerships. Workshop Goals
  • Raise awareness about island vulnerabilities.
  • Promote global-local environmental thinking.
  • Encourage youth to take local action with global impact.
