AI for Youth Work: Practical Tools, Ethics & Inclusion

AI for Youth Work: Practical Tools, Ethics & Inclusion

Erasmus+ Training Course in Yerevan, Armenia

May 3-10, 2026

Project organized by Copernicus Berlin e.V.

Copernicus Berlin e.V. is hosting this event

This practice-oriented training equips youth workers with a realistic and responsible toolkit to use AI in youth work and non-formal education. Participants explore how generative AI and automation can support learning design, inclusion, communication and project management—while addressing core risks: bias, misinformation, data protection (GDPR), and ethical use. The course combines hands-on labs (prompting, AI-assisted facilitation, content creation) with safeguarding and inclusion frameworks to ensure AI strengthens participation rather than widening inequalities.

Objectives
  • Build practical competence in using AI tools for youth-work delivery and organisational efficiency.
  • Strengthen digital ethics: bias awareness, privacy-by-design, transparency and consent.
  • Design inclusive AI-supported activities for young people with fewer opportunities.
  • Develop micro-projects (AI use cases) transferable to local youth centres/schools.

Key learning outcomes
Participants will be able to: create AI-supported lesson plans; run safe AI activities with youth; identify AI risks; apply GDPR-aware workflows; and develop an implementation roadmap.

Methods
Hands-on tool stations, guided labs, case studies, simulations, peer coaching, reflection circles, Youthpass.

Outputs
AI activity pack (templates + safety checklist), “AI in youth work” code of conduct, local action plan.

Working language: English
