In Leuven, Belgium, ASUL hosted a focused training initiative titled “Empower & Protect: Digital Safety for Youth,” aimed at equipping youth workers with the tools to recognize and counter online harassment and aggression. This intensive session was part of a wider European effort to strengthen resilience and promote responsible digital citizenship among young people.

Throughout the workshop, participants explored practical strategies for preventing cyberbullying, fostering media literacy, and raising awareness of the emotional and social impacts of online hate. Through non-formal education methods and intercultural dialogue, the training helped youth workers develop impactful solutions for safer online spaces.

With an emphasis on responsibility and empathy, the training empowered youth professionals to return home with actionable tools to protect young voices in the digital world.
