Content

In Berlin, Copernicus Berlin held a youth workshop designed to explore everyday financial decision-making in the online space. The event built on the tools and resources introduced during the Benalmádena training.

Beyond the App

Discussions focused on how young people interact with financial apps, what they understand about digital security, and how to plan spending more responsibly.

Workshop Goals

  • Improve critical thinking about money management.

  • Raise awareness of digital fraud and scam prevention.

  • Encourage reflection on personal financial habits.

Key Activities

  • Weekly Budget Builder – Participants designed a real-life weekly plan using common youth expenses.

  • Scam Theatre – Short skits about common frauds and how to respond.

  • App Hunt – Review and comparison of different finance apps by ease of use and security.

Participant Reflections

“We always talk about mental health and social media, but now we talked about how money stress online is also real.”

Outputs and Legacy

A downloadable checklist for smart digital finance was created and shared through Copernicus Berlin’s website and partner newsletters.
