The workshop was held at the youth centre in Magyaralmás and attended by 15 young people interested in Erasmus+ and natural conservation. Guided by Tícia Bollók, a participant of the Blue & Green training course, the session aimed to deepen understanding of biodiversity and its critical role in ecosystem health and human well-being.

Participants explored key concepts such as nature conservation, the impact of human activity on the environment, and the interconnectedness of ecosystems, agriculture, economics, and society. Practical examples like coral reef bleaching were discussed to illustrate these relationships. Digital storytelling, including video production, was introduced as a tool to enhance engagement and advocacy, alongside inclusive youth work practices.

The workshop featured an interactive energizer activity themed around biodiversity, designed to foster teamwork, encourage movement, and create an inclusive, relaxed learning environment. Small group discussions followed, where participants reflected on actionable ways individuals and communities can protect nature through waste reduction, supporting local biodiversity, and adopting sustainable lifestyles. These discussions promoted critical thinking, collaboration, and personal reflection.

Overall, the workshop was engaging and participatory, successfully raising awareness of biodiversity while empowering participants to feel connected to nature and motivated to take environmental action in their daily lives.

The event was supported by Copernicus Berlin, the host NGO of the training course, and CYA, Cultural Youth Academy, the sending organization based in Hungary. The project received funding from the European Union.
