Content

This workshop provided a practical and informative experience focused on applying knowledge from a one-week training course to community activities. Centered on the ecological and sustainable development challenges of Réunion Island, it used the island's unique biodiversity and environmental issues as a foundation for discussion and learning.

Participants explored pressing concerns such as coastal erosion, invasive species, waste accumulation, and climate-related risks. They connected these global and regional challenges to local environmental contexts by identifying similar risks and mechanisms in their own habitats.

The workshop combined theory with hands-on practice, including lectures, group discussions, and creative sessions where participants designed and produced visual communication materials such as panels and T-shirts with ecological messages. Emphasis was placed on sustainable materials and techniques, including the use of recycled fabrics, eco-friendly paints, and waste minimization.

Through these activities, participants developed practical skills in visual communication and were motivated to become ambassadors for environmental awareness and sustainable development within their communities. The workshop also fostered the creation of tangible physical and digital materials to support ongoing campaigns and educational initiatives.
