The workshop on Conflict Management, Community Engagement, and Democratic Participation was held at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, within the Faculty of Energy Engineering. It was part of an Erasmus+ training project in collaboration with Copernicus Berlin e.V. (Prague).
Participants explored the underlying social dynamics of conflict through the analysis of interests, values, and structural factors. They learned to identify early signs of conflict escalation and practiced transforming rigid positions into constructive dialogue. The workshop also mapped political decision-making processes to highlight opportunities for youth engagement in consultation and policy delivery.
Led by facilitator Claudia, with Eduard documenting and engaging participants, the session successfully reframed conflict as a structural challenge solvable through collaboration and assertiveness. The event empowered students to view conflict as an opportunity for democratic participation and community building.
