A follow-up workshop to the Circular Economy training course was held on 10 September 2025 at the Szent Istvan Campus of MATE University in Hungary. The event gathered youth workers passionate about sustainability, knowledge-sharing, and professional networking.
Participants were introduced to the core concepts of the circular economy, focusing on reducing waste, extending product lifecycles, and promoting sustainable consumption. They engaged in group discussions and hands-on activities centered on the "6Rs": Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, and Recycle.
Real-life examples such as zero-waste packaging, upcycled fashion, and local repair cafes illustrated practical applications of circular practices. A brainstorming session encouraged attendees to develop ideas for integrating circular economy principles into youth work, including community swap events, social media campaigns, and collaborations with local businesses.
The workshop provided valuable tools and insights, fostering meaningful dialogue and inspiring youth workers dedicated to environmental responsibility and innovation.
