Berlin: Empowering Youth Through Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Content
On June 28, 2025, Copernicus Berlin e.V. hosted a follow-up workshop in Berlin, Germany, inspired by the Erasmus+ training course Empowering Youth Workers for Community-based Social Entrepreneurship, held earlier that month in Yerevan, Armenia. The workshop brought together young professionals and community leaders from across Germany to explore how social entrepreneurship can drive positive social change through creativity, sustainability, and collaboration.
The event began with an introduction to the core principles of social entrepreneurship and community innovation. Facilitators shared lessons and experiences from the Yerevan training, focusing on how young changemakers can transform local challenges into sustainable business ideas with social impact.
Participants engaged in hands-on activities to design small-scale project concepts addressing issues such as social inclusion, environmental responsibility, and youth employment. Guided by mentors, they learned how to apply business planning tools, identify community needs, and communicate social value effectively.
In the final part of the workshop, attendees presented their project ideas during an open networking session, receiving feedback from peers and local entrepreneurs. The atmosphere was dynamic and inspiring, encouraging participants to continue developing their initiatives and connect with potential partners for future collaborations.
The Berlin workshop reaffirmed the mission of the Erasmus+ Empowering Youth Workers project — to equip young people with the skills and confidence to become leaders of sustainable change within their communities.
