After hosting the international training in Yerevan, ASUE extended the initiative through two follow-up workshops—one held on campus for university students, and another in Vanadzor to reach young people in regional areas. Both sessions focused on empowering youth to design community-based projects with lasting social impact.
Workshop Goals
-
Broaden access to entrepreneurial learning from capital to smaller cities.
-
Equip students and youth workers with practical tools for social venture development.
-
Encourage collaborative efforts between youth and local NGOs.
Key Activities
In Yerevan, students explored key concepts from the training, such as digital hate, identifying community needs, and designing sustainable business models. Discussions highlighted challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, including lack of funding and mentorship. In Vanadzor, participants developed action plans for bakery co-ops, recycling startups, and community cafés. Across both cities, participants proposed forming student teams to pilot projects and partner with NGOs.
Participant Reflections
“We don’t just need jobs—we need to make them, and make them count.”
“Social entrepreneurship can start here—in our university, with our own ideas.”
Outputs and Legacy
ASUE launched a national mentorship series to support youth-led ventures beyond the capital. Participants from both cities expressed strong motivation to stay involved, and several student initiatives are already in early development stages.
