On December 13, 2024, the Asociación Go Green organized a local follow-up event in Málaga, Spain, inspired by the Erasmus+ training course Empowering Youth Workers for Gender Equality and Mental Health Awareness, held in Benalmádena in November 2024. The workshop gathered 15 young participants, educators, and volunteers to discuss how mental health and gender equality can be promoted through youth work and community initiatives. Facilitators began the session with a short presentation about the Erasmus+ programme, highlighting its opportunities for personal and professional growth and its focus on social inclusion. Participants then reflected on the main outcomes of the training course, particularly on how youth workers can play an essential role in challenging stereotypes, building emotional resilience, and creating supportive environments for young people. The interactive session included group discussions, team-building games, and creative exercises designed to raise awareness about mental well-being and gender-based challenges. Through these activities, participants explored ways to break stigmas surrounding mental health, recognize gender inequalities in everyday life, and strengthen their empathy and communication skills. By the end of the event, participants expressed a strong motivation to implement local awareness campaigns and to continue promoting open dialogue around mental health and equality. The Málaga workshop embodied the core values of the Erasmus+ Empowering Youth Workers for Gender Equality and Mental Health Awareness project — proving that collaboration, compassion, and education are key tools in creating more inclusive and emotionally healthy communities.
