On November 3, 2024, the Terra Dulcis Association organized a follow-up workshop in Milan, Italy, inspired by the Erasmus+ training course Empowering Youth Work in Entrepreneurship and Environmental Sustainability, which took place in October in Hurghada, Egypt. The event gathered 12 young professionals and university students eager to explore how entrepreneurship can promote sustainability and social responsibility in their communities.
The session, held in a local coworking space in Milan’s Chinatown district, began with an introduction to the Erasmus+ programme and its opportunities for youth empowerment. Facilitators shared their experiences from the training in Egypt, highlighting key lessons about developing sustainable business models, ethical decision-making, and creative leadership.
Participants took part in interactive exercises, including brainstorming sessions and an “elevator pitch” challenge, where they practiced presenting eco-friendly business ideas concisely and persuasively. The group also discussed the importance of integrating sustainability into daily practices—both in business and personal life—emphasizing small, realistic actions that contribute to long-term environmental impact.
The atmosphere was dynamic and engaging, fostering collaboration and dialogue between participants. By the end of the event, attendees expressed a renewed motivation to transform their ideas into green initiatives and to mentor others in adopting eco-conscious approaches to entrepreneurship.
The Milan workshop continued the spirit of the Erasmus+ Empowering Youth Work in Entrepreneurship and Environmental Sustainability project — showing that when young people combine creativity with responsibility, they can lead meaningful change toward a more sustainable and inclusive future.
