The training successfully strengthened organisational capacity by teaching youth workers how to manage digital collaboration securely using cloud services. Participants learned practical approaches to file structures, access control, backups, sharing permissions, secure accounts (2FA), and incident prevention. The course bridged digital skills and safeguarding, focusing on how to protect youth data, manage consent, and avoid common mistakes such as leaked links and poor password practices. Engaging activities featured real scenarios from youth organisations and field-tested workflows for everyday project management.
Through scenario labs, step-by-step setups, permission audits, and simulations of data incidents, participants developed key skills. By the end of the training, they could set up secure shared drives, define roles, manage access, run backups, and handle basic incidents. The outputs included a secure cloud workspace blueprint, a data protection checklist, and a mini-policy for staff and volunteers, all aimed at enhancing cyber hygiene habits and GDPR-aware storage in youth work.
