The competence-building course successfully supported youth workers in addressing conflict constructively and enhancing democratic participation. Participants engaged in conflict analysis, de-escalation techniques, mediation basics, and the facilitation of difficult conversations. They explored political literacy, community mapping, and stakeholder engagement to design youth initiatives aimed at fostering trust, inclusion, and civic action. Practical simulations and case clinics allowed them to apply methods to real contexts such as schools, youth centers, and community tensions.By the end of the course, participants were equipped to facilitate safe discussions, mediate basic conflicts, and design youth-led civic engagement actions. They employed various methods including role plays, mediation simulations, and stakeholder mapping while producing a conflict-management toolkit and a local action plan for dialogue events or civic workshops.
