Erasmus+ Training Course in Cefalù (Sicily, Italy)

From June 23 to June 30, 2023, Cefalù, Sicily, hosted the Erasmus+ training course “Wellness Beyond Stereotypes.” This initiative aimed to equip youth workers with essential knowledge and skills to promote health, active citizenship, and social inclusion through nutrition, physical activity, and education via sport. Participants tackled the challenges posed by sedentary lifestyles, malnutrition, and social isolation while addressing the rise of stereotypes and marginalization among youth.
Throughout the week, youth workers engaged in discussions about the impact of inactivity and unhealthy living on both physical health and social dynamics. They gained insights into promoting healthy lifestyles and combating negative stereotypes. The training focused on empowering them to support young people in adopting healthier habits and fostering inclusivity through sport and health education.
