Web Development Bootcamp for Youth Workers: From Idea to Website

Erasmus+ Training Course in Budapest, Hungary

May 17-24, 2026

Project organized by Copernicus Berlin e.V.

Copernicus Berlin e.V. is hosting this event

A practical bootcamp enabling youth workers to create and maintain modern websites and landing pages for youth projects, campaigns and services. Participants learn the fundamentals of front-end web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), responsive design, accessibility, and deployment. The course focuses on real youth-sector needs: event pages, online registration, learning resources and digital inclusion. No prior coding is required—participants progress through step-by-step builds and finish with a working prototype.

Objectives
  • Provide core web-development skills and confidence to build simple websites.
  • Introduce accessibility and inclusive design principles (WCAG basics).
  • Teach deployment and maintenance basics (domains, hosting, GitHub Pages/Netlify).
  • Enable participants to create a reusable “project site” template.

Key learning outcomes
Participants can build a responsive multi-section site, adapt templates, publish online, and apply basic UX/accessibility checks.

Methods
Guided coding labs, pair programming, micro-teaching, peer review, troubleshooting clinic, reflection.

Outputs
Published mini-website per participant/team + reusable template + checklist for accessibility and maintenance.
