Description: “Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: A Global Perspective” was an Erasmus+ training course dedicated to exploring the vital connection between cultural heritage preservation and sustainable development. Youth workers from diverse backgrounds came together to examine how cultural heritage can serve not only as a legacy of the past but also as a driver for inclusive and sustainable growth. The training emphasized the importance of integrating sustainable practices into heritage management and provided participants with practical tools to advocate for and implement heritage-based development initiatives in their communities. Through global exchange, hands-on workshops, and project development, participants strengthened their capacities to contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
Main Objective:
The main objective of the program was to empower youth workers to promote cultural heritage preservation in ways that align with sustainable development, equipping them with knowledge, skills, and practical approaches to implement heritage-based sustainability projects within their communities.

Objectives:
- Promoting understanding of cultural heritage: Deepen youth workers’ knowledge and appreciation of diverse cultural heritages and their importance in shaping identities and communities.
- Linking heritage to sustainability: Explore innovative ways to integrate sustainable development goals into cultural heritage management and preservation.
- Empowerment through education: Provide participants with competences to advocate for responsible, community-based, and sustainable heritage management.
- Developing practical heritage management skills: Train youth workers in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sustainable cultural heritage projects.
- Gaining global perspectives: Facilitate intercultural exchange of practices, challenges, and solutions related to heritage preservation and sustainable development worldwide.
- Encouraging project development: Support participants in developing concrete project ideas that combine cultural heritage preservation with sustainability goals in their local contexts.
- Networking and collaboration: Build international networks of youth workers and organizations committed to the intersection of cultural heritage and sustainable development.
