Educational Tourism with Copernicus Berlin provides students and professionals from all countries with the opportunity to visit Berlin for short-term educational purposes. The program supports individuals who wish to attend conferences, hackathons, academic events, cultural programs, or Copernicus Berlin workshops, as well as those who wish to pursue an individual learning plan.Participants may stay for a variable period of up to ten weeks. Each stay is based on an individual educational plan, which is reviewed and discussed with the participant to ensure that it aligns with the purpose of an educational visit to Germany.

Accommodation

Participants are offered accommodation in centrally located apartments in Berlin. Options include private apartments or shared apartments with other members of the Copernicus Berlin community. All apartments are safe, fully furnished, and situated within convenient distance of public transport, cultural landmarks, and educational institutions.

Visa Support

Copernicus Berlin provides official invitation letters for educational purposes. These letters confirm the participant’s learning plan, purpose of stay, accommodation details, and participation in optional workshops or excursions. General guidance is offered, but the program does not include full visa-accompaniment services.

Learning Plan Review

Each participant submits an educational plan outlining the purpose of their stay. Copernicus Berlin reviews the plan, provides feedback, and helps structure it according to German requirements for short-term educational travel. This ensures the trip has a clear academic or professional development focus.

Workshops and Excursions

Participants may join optional workshops and excursions organized by Copernicus Berlin. These include cultural visits, thematic educational sessions, and skill-based workshops. Participation in these activities can be included in the invitation letter if relevant to the learning plan.
