Supporting Neurodiverse Youth: Inclusion Strategies for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Erasmus+ Training Course in Budapest, Hungary
March 1-18, 2025
The program centered on empowering youth workers to better understand and support neurodiverse young people and those with special educational needs. It encouraged participants to adopt inclusive approaches that recognize and celebrate different ways of thinking, learning, and communicating.
Through experiential learning and collaborative exercises, participants gained practical insight into how to adapt activities, environments, and communication styles to ensure that every young person feels seen, supported, and capable of contributing. They explored innovative methods for addressing learning differences and promoting emotional well-being in youth programs.
The experience not only deepened participants’ understanding of neurodiversity but also inspired them to become advocates for inclusion. By promoting empathy, awareness, and collaboration with families and communities, the training equipped them to create youth initiatives that truly embrace diversity and empower all individuals to thrive.
