European Values and Democracy Education for Youth Workers (EVADE)
Erasmus+ Training Course in Tbilisi, Georgia
March 17-25, 2024
The “EVADE: European Values, Active Democracy and Engagement” project took place from 18.03.2024 to 26.03.2024 in Tbilisi, Georgia. This initiative responded to ongoing socio-political changes and the rising challenge of misinformation by emphasizing the urgent need for young people’s active participation in democratic processes. The Erasmus+ training course focused on building youth workers’ competences in promoting European values, human rights, and democratic principles, bringing together participants from multiple European and neighboring countries.
Throughout the week, youth workers enhanced their understanding of the European Union’s core values and the significance of human rights in both European and global contexts. They strengthened their abilities to engage young people in democratic processes and civic participation while fostering intercultural dialogue and mutual learning. The project ultimately aimed to motivate youth workers to inspire active citizenship among young people, contributing to the development of inclusive, informed, and participatory societies.
