International Training Course & Cultural Exchange "Marginalized Youth Against Disinformation"
Training course in Berlin, Germany and Paris, France
October 24 - November 9, 2025
Project organized by European Progressive Youth e.V.
In an era where disinformation threatened democratic discourse and social cohesion, young people from marginalized communities engaged in a transformative 17-day training course in Berlin and Paris. This intensive program brought together girls, women, and other marginalized groups, combining cutting-edge media literacy education with meaningful cultural exchange. Participants developed both technical skills and cross-cultural understanding, empowering them to become effective champions against disinformation in their home communities.
Throughout the course, they mastered advanced media analysis, learning source verification, bias detection, and fact-checking using professional tools. They created compelling counter-narratives through digital storytelling and social media strategies, while fostering inclusive engagement strategies to reach marginalized communities. The training included interactive workshops with journalists and digital rights experts, hands-on multimedia production labs, and structured dialogues that allowed participants to share experiences of disinformation. By the end, they designed actionable plans for media literacy initiatives and anti-disinformation campaigns to implement upon returning home.
