May 15-23, 2023

From May 16 to May 24, 2023, participants gathered in Benalmádena, Spain, for the Erasmus+ training course titled “Gender-Driven Sustainability.” This comprehensive program aimed to enhance youth workers’ competencies in promoting gender equality as a vital component of sustainable development. Through a series of interactive workshops, expert lectures, and case studies, attendees explored the critical connection between gender equality and environmental sustainability, acquiring practical tools to advocate for gender-responsive climate action within their communities.

The course empowered youth workers by deepening their understanding of the intersection between gender inequality and environmental challenges. It emphasized the importance of engaging women and girls in decision-making processes related to climate action. Participants learned about the unique vulnerabilities faced by women and girls in the context of climate change and gained insights from experts on successful gender-responsive sustainability initiatives. By building advocacy skills, they were equipped to create long-term impact through community engagement and knowledge sharing.
