From July 17 to July 24, 2024, "Dance for Green Futures: A Cultural and Environmental Initiative" took place in Golden Sands (Varna), Bulgaria. This Erasmus+ training course creatively merged cultural arts with environmental protection, focusing on innovative methods for youth workers to engage their communities. Participants enjoyed diverse dance styles, including bachata and salsa, alongside dynamic sports and physical activities. By blending movement with environmental education, they explored how dance could promote sustainability, leadership, and intercultural understanding, empowering youth to take active roles in environmental advocacy.
The program equipped youth workers with practical approaches that integrated dance, cultural exchange, and environmental awareness into their practices. It enhanced participants' dance competencies and physical fitness while fostering an appreciation for environmental conservation. Through traditional and contemporary dance, intercultural learning was encouraged, promoting global cooperation. Additionally, the course provided strategies for integrating sustainable practices into community projects and daily life, strengthening leadership skills to help youth workers initiate and lead environmental initiatives.
