Way to Go Against Climate Change
Erasmus+ Training Course in Réunion Island, France
March 12-21, 2023
From March 13 to March 22, 2023, Réunion Island, France hosted the project “Way to Go Against Climate Change,” which confronted the pressing issue of climate change and its implications for future generations. The initiative equipped youth workers with valuable insights into the causes and effects of climate change, emphasizing the impact of human activities on environmental crises and the importance of intergenerational justice. Participants engaged in discussions about how today’s youth would face the long-term consequences of past environmental decisions and explored ways to advocate for sustainable policies.Throughout the project, youth workers deepened their understanding of climate change and its ramifications while being introduced to the concept of intergenerational accountability. They were provided with tools to educate and mobilize young people on climate issues and encouraged to take active roles in promoting environmental responsibility within their communities. Utilizing various interactive non-formal education methods, participants shared ideas through discussions, creative presentations, and simulations, fostering a sense of empowerment to combat climate change effectively.
