Path Toward Reconciliation

From June 16 to June 23, 2023, Cefalù in Sicily, Italy, hosted the Erasmus+ training course “Path Toward Reconciliation.” This program brought together youth workers dedicated to facilitating reconciliation processes among young people. Participants gained valuable knowledge and skills necessary for creating safe spaces where youth could confront conflicts, heal both personal and collective wounds, and cultivate mutual understanding and empathy.

Throughout the week, attendees engaged in training sessions, interactive workshops, simulations, and cross-cultural activities. They explored various approaches to conflict resolution, including truth-telling, forgiveness, restorative justice, and intercultural dialogue. By the end of the course, youth workers were better equipped to lead youth-led reconciliation efforts in their communities, fostering peaceful coexistence and social cohesion across diverse backgrounds.
