Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: A Global Perspective
Erasmus+ Training Course in Prague, Czech Republic

From April 30 to May 7, 2024, “Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: A Global Perspective” took place in Prague, Czech Republic. This Erasmus+ training course brought together youth workers from diverse backgrounds to explore the essential link between cultural heritage preservation and sustainable development. Participants examined how cultural heritage can act as both a legacy of the past and a catalyst for inclusive growth. The training highlighted the need for integrating sustainable practices into heritage management while equipping attendees with practical tools for advocating and implementing heritage-based development initiatives within their communities.
Through global exchanges, hands-on workshops, and project development, participants enhanced their abilities to contribute to cultural heritage preservation and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. They deepened their understanding of diverse cultural heritages, explored innovative methods for linking heritage to sustainability, and gained skills for responsible community-based management. By fostering intercultural exchanges and encouraging project development, the course helped build a network of committed youth workers and organizations focused on the intersection of cultural heritage and sustainable development.
