From June 23 to June 30, 2023, Cefalù in Sicily, Italy, hosted the "Deuce for Diversity" Erasmus+ training course, which aimed to empower youth workers dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion through tennis. The event gathered 35 participants from various countries, combining interactive workshops with a practical tennis tournament. This unique blend allowed attendees to explore the role of sports in fostering inclusion and breaking down social barriers.
The training equipped youth workers with essential knowledge and practical methods to create inclusive environments within their communities and tennis clubs. Participants enhanced their intercultural understanding and learned to apply inclusive approaches in both youth work and sports activities, while also sharing valuable experiences and best practices with one another, strengthening their professional networks.
